Cards’ tickets sale at the Puck today
Staff Council will sell tickets for Missouri S&T’s Springfield Cardinals Day from 9 to 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 4) at the Puck. You can also purchase tickets at the Leach Theatre Box Office during its business hours or email Melissa Chambers. The Cardinals game is at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Tickets are $10 and located in Dugout Boxes, Section L, starting in Row 9. Missouri S&T’s tickets are open to the public, so buy them for friends and family.

Missouri S&T military historian Dr. John C. McManus discusses the upcoming 70th anniversary of D-Day and his new book on the subject today and tomorrow on public radio KMST, 88.5 FM. Tune in at 4:45 p.m. today to hear McManus discuss D-Day with KMST’s John Francis, and tune in 9-11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, to hear him talk on the nationally syndicated Diane Rehm Show.

A new blog is available to University of Missouri (UM) System faculty and staff. Launched on May 19, the “Let’s Talk Total Rewards” blog provides information on the myTotal Rewards package, including benefits, compensation, retirement and wellness programs. It is a place where the university community can learn about plan options and share ideas. Read articles daily and provide feedback.

The Missouri S&T Blood Drive, sponsored by Staff Council, will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, and Wednesday, June 18, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. Donors can earn a 50 percent bonus on “LifePoints.” The blood drive will benefit the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. There will be free snacks for all participants.

Dr. Norman Smith, professor emeritus of mining engineering at Missouri S&T, died Monday, May 26. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Eagle River, Wis. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Effective immediately, employees will not be able to change their direct deposit information in myHR until updates are made over the next couple of months. Employees wishing to change their direct deposit will need to complete the direct deposit form and attach a voided check. The completed form and attachment should be sent to human resource services, affirmative action, diversity and inclusion (HRSAADI) for entry.
