The university has learned that Donald B. Higginbotham, retired lecturer of engineering management and systems engineering, died on Saturday, Jan. 17. No public visitation or memorial is expected to be held. Higginbotham taught at Missouri S&T from 1984 to 2010.

Gene Doty, former chair of English and technical communication, died last Friday. He served as chair of English and technical communication from 2006 until his retirement in 2009. He joined the faculty in 1967. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Eugene Northern Community Hall, 400 W. 4th St. in Rolla.

Walter F. Henry, former senior electronics technician in electrical engineering, died on Saturday, Jan. 3. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Havener Center. Henry worked in the electrical and computer engineering department from 1969 to 1979.
