Dr. Condoleezza Rice to speak at S&T

Dr. Condoleezza Rice, the 66th U.S. Secretary of State, will present a free lecture at Missouri S&T on Thursday, May 14, as part of the Remmers Special Artist/Lecturer Series. Time and location of the lecture will be announced at a later date. Tickets will be required and are limited to four per person. Faculty and staff with a valid ID can get tickets starting Wednesday, April 8, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Leach Theatre Box Office.

Buy doughnuts, support Miners softball

The Missouri S&T softball team is selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts starting Friday, Jan. 23, and ending at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6. You can purchase doughnuts for $6 a dozen or purchase a $6 certificate for a dozen to be redeemed at a Krispy Kreme store. Doughnuts will be delivered to campus on Friday, Feb. 13. To order doughnuts, contact a softball player or Coach Don Kennedy at kennedon@mst.edu or 341-4968. You must pay for your order by the purchase deadline on Friday, Feb. 6.

Elizabeth Smith named Missouri S&T chief of staff

Elizabeth (Bax) Smith has been named chief of staff for Missouri S&T and will begin her duties on Monday, Feb. 2. Smith will serve in a high-level leadership position, not only managing the chancellor’s office but also representing the office with various constituents, including Missouri S&T divisions and units; the general officers of the University of Missouri System; and community leaders.
