The marketing and communications department now has all university sites within the TerminalFour content management system. As campus web content authors change and improve sites, they are reminded that broken links within sites are authors’ responsibility. To fix these links, authors can follow an outlined process and utilize new broken link tools. In addition, several new content types have been created for webpages, providing a variety of new page layout options for sites.

Attend a biomedical research symposium

The Center for Biomedical Science and Engineering (CBSE) will hold its first research symposium Thursday, April 16, to highlight biomedical research on campus. The symposium will feature a presentation by the Dr. Mohamed N. Rahaman, CBSE director, 1:30-2 p.m. in Room 204 McNutt. Poster presentations by undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty will be available 2-4:30 p.m. in the Havener Center atrium.

Complex Adaptive Systems Conference call for papers

Faculty are invited to submit an abstract and paper for presentation at the Complex Adaptive Systems Conference, held Nov. 2-5 in San Jose, California. The conference theme is “Engineering Cyber Physical Systems: Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Smart Systems Architecting.” Abstract submissions are due by Monday, April 13. Spring 2015 Faculty and Staff Golf League

The next faculty, staff and friends Golf League will begin play at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Miners’ Golf Course. The league welcomes players of all abilities from beginners to experienced. The tournament is a scramble format which makes it easier for beginning golfers and players with limited skills to enjoy the game. The league will play every Tuesday for eight weeks, with makeup games for rainouts held the following Thursday.

Last chance to apply for leadership scholarship

The Miner Alumni Association’s Student Leadership Award Endowed Scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship awarded to an undergraduate student who demonstrates academic excellence, service to the campus and community, personal objectives and goals, potential and quality recommendations. Apply for campus educational research grants

Instructors who would like to examine a teaching or learning topic through educational research in the classroom are invited to apply to the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation’s (CERTI) mini-grant program. A letter of intent to apply for the program is due by Monday, March 30. The full proposal is due Friday, April 24.
