A student at Rolla Middle School is being treated for meningococcal meningitis. Rolla Public School district officials are working with the Missouri Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the school district’s nursing department to identify and contact students and parents who may have been in close contact with the sixth-grader and therefore at the greatest risk of exposure. American Chemical Society (ACS) representatives will visit campus to give faculty and graduate students an update on ACS and a refresher course on changes to SciFinder. Missouri S&T’s surplus property will have a public sale 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the surplus warehouse, located at 301 N. Bishop Ave. This is a “garage sale” type sale, and all items will be priced.

Study Abroad will hold its annual fair 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the Havener Center atrium. Encourage your students to visit and learn about opportunities to study, work, intern or volunteer abroad during college.
