The final weeks of the spring semester can be hectic. Your student may be focused on finishing classes and preparing for finals, so when you connect, it helps to focus on the most important details.

Preparing to move out:

• Encourage your student to back up their computer before finals.
• Respond to university emails about end-of-year requirements.
• If your student plans to use a storage unit, booking early can help secure the right size and price. Several storage facilities are available in the Rolla area, including Lone Pine Storage, Guardian 44 Storage, Phelps County Storage, Rolla Keep Safe Storage and Downtown Storage!
• Pay outstanding fees.
• If your student plans to use a shuttle service, review options through S&T Parking and Transportation Services.
• Unneeded clothing items can be donated, and students are encouraged to utilize campus resources such as the Miner Clothing Closet.

For move-out expectations and timelines, students should contact their resident assistant or Residential Life. Rooms must be cleaned and returned to their original condition.
