MacArthur ‘genius grant’ recipient to speak at S&T Feb. 17

Dr. William Tarpeh, a MacArthur Fellowship awardee — often referred to as a “genius grant” — will deliver Missouri S&T’s 2026 Mathes Distinguished Lecture at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Innovation Lab Forum.

The event is free and open to the public, and it will also be available via Zoom.

Tarpeh, an assistant professor of chemical engineering at Stanford University, will present a talk titled “Designing Catalysts and Reactive Separations for Electrochemical Wastewater Refining.”
