Missouri S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing recently held its fall 2025 awards ceremony, and several staff and faculty members were presented with honors. 
 
Staff awards recognize exceptional performance among departmental staff. This year’s winners include: 

  • Team Impact Award: Kyle Stagner, research consultant for mechanical and aerospace engineering
  • Rookie of the Year: Rebel Fall, office support assistant for computer science 
  • Student Service Award: Cherie’ Lewis, office support assistant for electrical and computer engineering
  • Extra Mile Award: Theresa Brown, office support assistant for the Linda and Bipin Doshi Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering 
  • Loyalty Award: Dr. Stephen Haug, manager for the Missouri NASA Space Grant Consortium
  • Peer-to-Peer Award: Shelly Morgan, office support assistant for mechanical and aerospace engineering. 

The Dean’s Educator Award highlights teaching excellence. This year’s award went to five professors, including: 

  • Dr. Nicolas Libre, associate teaching professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering 
  • Dr. Phillip Mulligan, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
  • Dr. Kyle Perry, associate professor of mining and explosives engineering.
  • Dr. Joshua Schlegel, associate professor of nuclear engineering and radiation science
  • Dr. Joseph Smith, professor in the Linda and Bipin Doshi Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering

The Dean’s Scholar Award, which highlights scholarly excellence, went to Dr. Taghi Sherizadeh, associate professor of mining and explosives engineering.

The Dean’s Service Award, which highlights exceptional professional service, went Dr. Jenny Liu, the James A. Heidman Professor in Civil Engineering.
