S&T researchers present at NextGen Pathways Symposium

A group of Missouri S&T researchers participated in the University of Missouri System’s NextGen Pathways Symposium, held March 13-14 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The annual event highlights health research collaborations across the state under the theme “Accelerating Discoveries, Fostering Discoverers.”

Missouri S&T faculty delivered the following presentations:

  • Dr. Yue-Wern Huang, professor of biological sciences and director of the Center for Biomedical Research, presented “Aerosol Health: Aerosol and Bioaerosol Behavior and Evolution in Indoor Environments.”
  • Dr. Joe Stanley, professor of electrical and computer engineering, shared his research in a talk titled “Skin Lesion Archive and Annotation for Fusion and Earlier Skin Cancer Detection.”
  • Dr. Catherine Johnson, Robert H. Quenon Associate Professor of Mining and Explosives Engineering, presented “Advancing Rigor and Reproducibility in Pre-clinical Traumatic Brain Injury Studies.”
