S&T has established a taskforce dedicated to digital accessibility, to align with new federal ADA Title II regulations that require all digital content, including websites, mobile applications and academic materials, to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by April 2026.

The S&T Digital Accessibility Taskforce includes representatives from departments across campus to ensure compliance and foster a more accessible digital environment. The group will prioritize key accessibility initiatives, coordinate outreach, and provide educational resources to faculty and staff.

Launching soon, a new digital accessibility website will serve as a central hub for information, including:

  • A library of accessibility resources and tutorials
  • A list of taskforce members
  • A form to submit questions about digital accessibility and the new guidelines
  • An FAQ section, updated regularly to address campus needs.

The taskforce will conduct departmental outreach, host informational webinars and workshops, and distribute campuswide communications to build awareness and share best practices. This supports proactive remediation and ensures that all digital content is accessible by the April 2026 deadline.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to engage with the taskforce, use available resources and participate in upcoming educational opportunities to support Missouri S&T’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
