Mentor Collective is a program designed to support students through high-impact mentoring relationships. This online program connects S&T students with peer mentors to help them set and achieve academic, professional and personal goals. This fall, the goal is to match all incoming first-year students with a mentor.

This program aligns with the university’s strategic priorities, including supporting retention and fostering a sense of belonging. By addressing challenges such as navigating the transition to college, balancing academics and getting involved, the program offers students guidance from mentors who have faced similar experiences.

Students are matched with a trained mentor based on shared interests, career goals, academic backgrounds and common experiences. The platform provides structured discussion guides and goal-setting tools to foster meaningful, goal-oriented conversations. Topics include time management, work-life balance, resilience and career readiness.

The program is actively seeking nominations for students to serve as peer mentors in this program. Please nominate students online

If you’d like to learn more or explore how your department can get involved, email Adelyn Wiggins, Mentor Collective program manager.
