Missouri S&T concluded its Giving Days campaign, themed “1870 Minutes for Miners,” with impressive participation and fundraising results. The event, held April 10-11, mobilized the Miner community to come together in support of the university’s programs, departments and initiatives. To celebrate, S&T brought together faculty, staff, students and alumni for the campaign’s grand finale.
Key highlights of S&T Giving Days:
The College of Engineering and Computing had the highest donor participation, which reflects strong engagement within this vital academic area. The campaign also drew support from across the country, with Missouri leading the way in participation, followed by Illinois and Texas.
Miner Ambassadors played a crucial role in Giving Days, generating over $4,600 in additional support by spreading the word on social media. Notable ambassadors included Shayla Yoakum, business support specialist in history and political science, and Megan Fowler, business operations associate in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education, whose efforts helped amplify the campaign’s reach.
The success of this year’s Giving Days emphasizes the strength of the Miner community and its commitment to the university’s legacy. The event demonstrated how collective generosity can unlock additional resources through challenge gifts, which inspires ongoing support throughout the year. Faculty and staff donors who contributed to last week’s Giving Days campaign are invited to a celebration breakfast 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, April 18, at Hasselmann Alumni House to celebrate their generosity and support.
