Is there an outstanding Missouri S&T employee you would like to recognize? How about a faculty member? Staff Council will accept nominations for S&T’s Staff Excellence Awards, Outstanding Newcomer Award and Outstanding Faculty Award until Friday, April 11.

The Staff Excellence Awards are given in four categories:

• Bridge builder: A person who works to link two groups of individuals together.
• Student-centric: A person focused on the student’s perspective and helping students.
• Excellence in work: A person who goes “above and beyond,” has exceptional skills and knowledge in their job, and is always professional, respectful and kind.
• Hospitality: A person who consistently demonstrates exceptional hospitality skills and strives to create a welcoming environment for guests and students. Their dedication to creating a positive environment significantly enhances the university experience for students, staff and visitors.

The Outstanding Newcomer Award recognizes a staff member who is new to campus and making a positive difference.

The Outstanding Faculty Award recognizes a faculty member who supports staff.

Any staff member, faculty member or student can submit nominations, except current members of the Staff Excellence Awards Committee. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, April 11.
