The vice chancellor for research and innovation will host a guest lecture at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, featuring Dr. Nadine Alameh, the inaugural executive director of the Taylor Geospatial Institute. Founded in 2022, Taylor Geospatial Institute is a geospatial ecosystem – designed to fuel geospatial research, collaboration, and impact with a consortium of academic and research organizations in the Midwest. Alameh is a recognized leader in the geospatial field with experience in aviation, intelligent transportation systems, Earth observations, public safety and defense.
She earned a Ph.D. in computer and information systems engineering, a master’s degree in geographic information systems and a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering from the American University of Beirut.
