Yan to host 15th Americas Conference on Wind Engineering

During the closing ceremony of the 17th International Conference on Wind Engineering, Dr. Claudia Borri and Dr. Ahsan Kareem, the current and past presidents of the International Association of Wind Engineering, announced that Dr. Grace Yan will host the 15th Americas Conference on Wind Engineering (ACWE). The conference will be held in May 2025 in St. Louis, and the event is expected to draw 400 participants.
During this closing ceremony, Yan extended a warm welcome to wind engineering researchers, inviting them to join the upcoming conference. In addition, she gave conference attendees a tour of the Sinquefield Missouri Tornado Simulator Twins through a three-minute video. This exposure carries substantial potential to elevate the prominence of Missouri S&T in the realm of disaster resilience research, Yan says.
