If you notice that your student is struggling throughout the semester, or even if they aren’t, encourage them not to wait until it’s too overwhelming to reach out for help. Student Well-Being offers brief, solution-focused individual counseling with a licensed counselor, ready to take on new students with little to no wait time. Student Well-Being also offers group counseling for a variety of topics, all led by trained staff in a safe and confidential space. If your student is struggling, they are not alone. Student Well-Being is here to support them however they can.
Besides counseling, there are many other resources available to get health and wellness assistance, such as wellness consultations (for concerns such as nutrition, nicotine cessation, substance use, and more) and student-led mental health organizations (such as ProjectConnect and Miner Support Network).
