Researchers are invited to a networking session 3-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center or online via Zoom. The in-person event will be limited to 35 individuals.
The Center for Smart Living is joining the Center for Science, Technology and Society (CSTS) to develop research networks and teams that will be ready when calls for grant proposals are announced. In addition, participants can apply for seed money through the Center for Smart Living.
Research teams must be interdisciplinary and have a smart living or CSTS focus. Multiple teams could target an assortment of funding agencies. Anyone may attend the session. Organizers seek 15-20 presenters to give a 2-minute talk on who they are, their research focus or need, and their resources or resource availability.
Each presenter may use up to two PowerPoint slides. The first slide can include details about who you are (research ideas, proposals or projects related to smart living, expertise areas and your current funding or resources). The second slide can include information about the specific skills you seek in collaborators, technology, lab or research access.
There will be time to socialize following the presentations.
If you would like to be a presenter, please submit one or two PowerPoint slides to Dr. Nancy Stone, professor of psychological science, at nstone@mst.edu by Wednesday, Sept. 15.
