Student leaders representing nine S&T organizations have identified a goal of achieving a vaccination rate of 85% or higher among students for the fall 2021 semester. The group announced the goal in a message to all students on May 26.

“Collectively, we’ve identified a goal of operating with the greatest amount of freedom possible within the campus for Fall,” the letter reads. “That would mean sports events, comedy shows, socials, symposia and our traditional events all return!”

The rate will be determined from self-reports by students via S&T’s student health portal. Progress reports will be shared leading up to the beginning of the semester, with the first report planned the week of Monday, July 5.
