Parents, did you know there are many resources available in the Student Financial Assistance Office to help your student become financially savvy?  Has your student completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)?  The FAFSA can be completed at any time throughout the year, but it is best to submit before the February 1 priority deadline. The Parent Guide offers tips for applying for the FAFSA, gaining access to student information and billing, and managing a budget.  The Miner Money Management financial literacy program encourages financial wellness to students by providing resources and events that focus on important financial literacy skills and knowledge.  From the financial basics such as budgeting, saving, credit scores, and taxes, to improving their financial literacy through games and events, your student can improve their financial knowledge.  And, with many scholarships having a February 1, 2021 deadline, now is a good time to ensure that your student has applied to the S&T Scholarship Database.  The Student Financial Assistance Office is well prepared to assist you with your financial questions.
