Theater students in S&T’s arts, languages and philosophy department will perform “Stepping into a Phantom Punch,” a two-volume choose-your-own-adventure Zoom play, this month.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. with volume one presented Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, and volume two on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24. You don’t need to see the first volume in order to enjoy the second volume or vice versa. Each volume is its own contained production, but you’re encouraged to see both shows for a full experience.

Synopsis: When Tim Sullivan’s little brother goes missing, a very dark side of video gaming is exposed as Tim tries to figure out the mystery behind the disappearance. Luce’s about to flunk out of school and is desperate to find a way to pass her classes. David wants everyone to embrace the chaos of living. And Alex is tired of being ignored. While everyone’s emotions reach a fever pitch during a pandemic, the dark parts of this world keep turning.

This show will be presented via Zoom and will require you to choose your own adventure by clicking on new Zoom links during the performance. We highly recommend using a desktop computer or laptop for the best viewing experience. This show will not be optimized for mobile devices. Audience video and audio will remain off during the performance. You will not be asked to turn on your video or audio at any time.

Admission is free, but you must RSVP to receive a Zoom link for the performance. RSVP at alp.mst.edu/news-and-events/ and fill out a Qualtrics survey. The Zoom link for each performance will be emailed 30 minutes before showtime.
