For the costume contest, provide an illustration or photo of your prospective Halloween costume, along with a 150- to 200-word abstract describing what the costume consists of and why it should be considered for “best costume.”
Winners will be selected by the Writing Center staff based on ingenuity and spirit. The first-place winner will receive a $15 gift card to Public House Brewing Co. The second-place winner will receive a $10 gift card to Public House.
Costume proposals must be brought into the Writing Center for at least one consultation prior to entry. Submit official entries to Phillip Bode, director of the writing center, at pbode@mst.edu. The deadline for entries is 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, and winners will be notified on Saturday, Oct. 31.
