The office of New Student Programs is gearing up to welcome the freshman class of 2019 to the Miner family. Students will arrive on campus to move in Sunday, August 11. Opening Week will officially kick off that evening with a “Party at the Puck” picnic.

Throughout the week, students will:

  • complete an academic workshop
  • learn about the S&T campus and college life
  • participate in a team-based experiential learning project
  • discover what it means to be a Miner.

Be sure to mark your calendars for a presentation 4:45-6:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, in the Gibson Arena of the Gale Bullman Building. Odell Bizzell, a blogger, speaker, author and entrepreneur, will speak to the freshman class.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend any events during Opening Week. Campus participation during orientation sends a strong message of support to new students.

For a complete schedule, visit pro.mst.edu/openingweek or download the Missouri S&T Guides app on your phone. For more information, please contact Kayla Klossner-Thompson, director of new student programs, at kayla.thompson@mst.edu, call 341-4996, or drop by 106 Centennial Hall.
