The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence has changed its proposal deadlines from set dates to rolling acceptance for the following funding opportunities:
Through this change, the CAFE staff hopes to accommodate the schedules and professional development needs of more faculty. Proposals for these programs will be accepted on a rolling basis, as long as funding is available for the fiscal year. More details are below and online under the funding tab at cafe.mst.edu.
Professional Development Travel Fund: available to all full-time pre-tenure and pre-promotion tenure-track and non-tenure track faculty. Up to $1,000 is available to support travel to conferences, workshops or meeting with fund managers. Early-career faculty are eligible to apply once per academic year. Get more details.
Mini-Sabbatical Program: Available to all full-time tenure-track, tenured, or non-tenure-track faculty with a focus on mid-career faculty seeking to initiate new research and teaching endeavors. This program seeks to provide funding necessary to enable a short term (two months or less) stay at an external location to build new collaborations, pursue funding opportunities, or to create or enhance courses. Publishing results from mini-grants: The educational research mini-grant program, previously offered by CERTI and other units on campus, funds scholarly inquiry into a question about teaching and learning. All awardees who successfully completed an educational research project are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 to support the cost of disseminating your project results. Get more information.
