Dr. Larry Gragg penned a chapter titled “Avoid Advertising the Obvious: Gambling and the Chamber of Commerce Promotion of Las Vegas in the 1950s” for the book All In. Gragg is a Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus of history. The book is a collection of essays that explores five aspects of American gambling history: crime, advertising, politics, religion and identity.

Gragg is a historian and author who specializes in 20th century U.S. history as well as colonial and revolutionary America. He has authored eight books on American culture and taught more than 6,400 students at Missouri S&T since 1977.
