Read More »The heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC) in Schrenk Hall West will be shut down at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, to clean the intake air system. The cleaning will take approximately two hours. Once completed, the system will be restarted; however, there will be intermittent outages throughout the day to balance the system and reset all thermostats. This outage will not affect Schrenk Hall East or any of the building exhaust systems.

Overall, 67 percent of respondents said they are “very well informed” or “well informed” and 27 percent said they are “adequately informed.” View the survey results.

The University of Missouri System’s Board of Curators on May 23 voted to increase tuition by 2.1 percent at all four campuses for Fiscal Year 2018. At Missouri S&T, the yearly tuition for Missouri resident undergraduate students will increase by $201 when compared to Fiscal Year 2017. The tuition increase complies with a Missouri law (Higher Education Student Funding Act, or HESFA, Senate Bill 389) that requires tuition increases do not exceed the state’s consumer price index. Missouri’s CPI is currently 2.1 percent.

Read More »Dr. Greg Story, an associate professor of physics, will star in a play he wrote, “The Incredible Roscoe’s Boxes of Mystery” at the Lyric Live Theater in Newburg, Missouri. Shows will run on Friday, May 26, Saturday, May 27, Friday, June 2, and Saturday, June 3. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, with donations to the Lyric Live Theater accepted. Dessert will be served at the Houston House during intermission. The play is a comedy, which begins as a Vaudeville show, but when things go wrong on stage, turns into a mystery. Story will play the part of The Incredible Roscoe.
