The University of Missouri System’s Board of Curators on May 23 voted to increase tuition by 2.1 percent at all four campuses for Fiscal Year 2018. At Missouri S&T, the yearly tuition for Missouri resident undergraduate students will increase by $201 when compared to Fiscal Year 2017. The tuition increase complies with a Missouri law (Higher Education Student Funding Act, or HESFA, Senate Bill 389) that requires tuition increases do not exceed the state’s consumer price index. Missouri’s CPI is currently 2.1 percent.
For more details on tuition and fees at Missouri S&T and other University of Missouri System campuses, please view the Board of Curators’ document, “Fiscal Year 2018 Tuition and Required Fees for UM.” The curators will discuss plans for new tuition and fee strategies at the board’s September meeting, which will be held at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
