Faculty members receive grants for European seminars

Three faculty members received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities to attend seminars in Europe over the summer. Dr. Michael Bruening, interim chair and associate professor of history and political science, attended the NEH seminar at the American Academy in Rome on “Communication, Empire and the City of Rome.” Dr. Shannon Fogg, associate professor of history and political science, and Dr. Audra Merfeld-Langston, assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy, attended “France’s Haunting Past: Debating Twentieth-Century History and French National Identity since 1990,” which was held in Paris. Both were five-week programs.
