Strategic plan open forums set for March 5
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend an open forum on Missouri S&T’s strategic plan and provide feedback on a revised draft plan presented by Missouri S&T’s Strategic Plan Committee. The open forums will be held:
- 9 a.m. Monday, March 5, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center
- 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center

The forums, previously planned for March 6, have been rescheduled for March 5. The open forums will be held:
- 9 a.m. Monday, March 5, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center
- 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center
S&T offers resources to staff for activity analysis survey
In addition to the resources offered on the University of Missouri System’s activity analysis survey website, Missouri S&T provides help for staff members participating in the survey, including informational sessions, a percentage time calculator and open computer labs.

Grants are available through the University of Missouri System’s Affordable & Open Educational Resources (A&OER) initiative. The program encourages faculty experimentation and innovation in finding new, better and less costly ways to deliver learning materials to students. Save students money on course materials
AutoAccess is a collaborative program between the S&T Store, faculty and publishers, that provides textbooks and other course materials at a reduced cost to students. Sign up for an AutoAccess webinar 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb.27, via Zoom. Participants will learn more about:
- saving students money on course material
- accessing course material on the first day of class
- supporting the University of Missouri System’s Affordable and Open Educational Resources Initiative
Activity analysis survey opens today, how-to video available
The University of Missouri System’s activity analysis survey is available beginning today (Monday, Feb. 19). Visit the UM System’s website for resources, which include a survey checklist and a how-to video. The survey will be open through Friday, March 2.

All staff members are invited to an open forum to learn about and discuss the upcoming University of Missouri System activity analysis survey 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, in Leach Theatre. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor, and Cuba Plain, interim vice chancellor of finance and operations, will lead the discussion.

Read More »New transportation policies start Feb. 1
To increase efficiency and generate savings, policies that govern the University of Missouri System vehicle fleet and other forms of transportation will change starting Thursday, Feb. 1. These changes include:
- A reduction of mileage reimbursement rate from 50.5 cents per mile to 37 cents per mile for travel by personal vehicle. This revised policy aligns with the current mileage rate for the state of Missouri.
- The development of a new Trip Optimizer tool, which will help travelers determine the most cost effective means of travel by vehicle. The tool will include two options: the use of a rental vehicle and reimbursement for personal vehicle miles.
- A partnership with the state on longer-term initiatives, including bulk fuel purchases, asset disposal and a fleet management system.
