UM System, McGraw-Hill Education expand access to affordable course materials

The University of Missouri System and learning science company McGraw-Hill Education announced on March 7 an agreement that will increase student access to affordable course materials. The cost of all McGraw-Hill Education electronic textbooks will be lowered by an additional 38 percent to meet the university system’s definition of low cost.

The program encourages faculty experimentation and innovation in finding new, better and less costly ways to deliver learning materials to students. Six Missouri S&T faculty are working to help students save money on textbooks with grants from the University of Missouri System. The grants are provided through the UM System Affordable & Open Educational Resources (A&OER) initiative. The program encourages faculty experimentation and innovation in finding new, better and less costly ways to deliver learning materials to students.
