Make over your syllabus
Instructors are invited to “Extreme Syllabus Makeover: A Faculty Learning Event” noon-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. Bring a syllabus from one of your classes and join in a discussion about defining and articulating expectations in a learner-centered syllabus, presenting easily accessible information, aligning course objectives, assignments and assessments, and other topics. Dessert and drinks will be provided at this brown bag lunch event. RSVP to Diane Hagni by Monday, Sept. 29. The event is sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI) and education technology.
