Staff invited to tomorrow’s open forum

Staff Council will host an open forum 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 16, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center for S&T staff members. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor, will take questions from the audience. Staff members may ask questions at the forum or submit questions before the meeting by emailing Staff Council members are revising their bylaws and have proposed revisions, which will also be discussed during the forum. Nominations for Service Learning, Experiential Learning awards due Dec. 1

Nominate a faculty or staff member for the Experiential Learning Award or the Service Learning Award. Faculty, staff, students and community partners may submit nominations for these awards. Nominations are due Friday, Dec. 1. Nominations must include: a signed nomination form, nominator supporting statement (limit of two pages), and up to three letters of support (limit one page each). The materials must be in one PDF submission sent to Dedie Wilson, experiential learning specialist, at, by Friday, Dec. 1.

Scare up some fun at staff event on Halloween

Employees work hard and Staff Council wants to say “thanks” at an appreciation event for staff 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Puck. Come enjoy snacks and hot drinks by a campfire, bring a decorated or carved pumpkin for a contest and dress up for a costume contest. The event will also include prize drawings and games.
