Missouri S&T’s Staff Appreciation Day at the end of the spring semester will be here before we know it. Do you have an idea for a theme that you would like to share? Previous themes have included sports, “welcome to the jungle,” the wild west and Willy Wonka. Staff Day brings in $2,000 for scholarships

Employees collectively donated $2,000 to S&T’s employee scholarship program through the food auction during Staff Day on May 30. The proceeds include a $1,000 matching donation from Chris Maples, interim chancellor, and Sara Marcus. Scholarship applications are currently being accepted for the fall 2018 semester. The deadline is Friday, June 15. For more details or to apply, please visit Staff Council’s website.

How the West was fun – Staff Day videos posted online

Staff Day set for May 30

Celebrate Missouri S&T’s Staff Appreciation Day on Wednesday, May 30. The theme is “Fiesta at High Noon.” An opening ceremony will kick off the day’s festivities at 9 a.m. in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. Staff will be served a free lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Havener Center’s dining area. The food auction will begin at 2 p.m. in the dining area.

Paint, sip, repeat on Staff Day

Enjoy tea and lemonade while creating artwork during a “Paint and Sip” event at S&T’s Staff Appreciation Day Wednesday, May 30. Due to the popularity of the 2017 event, two sessions will be held. Sign-ups are available online for sessions at 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m. Residential life staff members Joni Burch, associate director of student support services, and Sarah Perry, manager of student support services, will lead the classes. Staff Day T-shirt orders due tomorrow

If you don’t have boots to wear for this year’s western-themed Staff Day on Wednesday, May 30, the T-shirt design has you covered. Check it out on the Staff Council webpage. Shirts cost $10 each for sizes S-XL and $12 each for sizes 2XL-5XL. Orders are due by Friday, May 11. See your building coordinator for an order form or download a form on the Staff Council page.
