Staff Council will meet at 9 a.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 11) in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. However, contrary to previous messages, the meeting will not be an open forum about benefits enrollment. More information about benefits enrollment can be found here.

Online voting is under way for the 2015-17 Staff Council term. Click the appropriate link below to cast your vote for nominated staff members. There were no nominees in the Crafts/Services category. To access the Google form and vote, sign in using your Missouri S&T email address and password. The deadline to vote is Friday, Aug. 22.

Staff members will receive a Staff Council nomination form in their campus mailbox. Nominate a staff member to serve on Staff Council and return the form by Friday, July 11. Staff Council will sell tickets for Missouri S&T’s Springfield Cardinals Day from 9 to 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 4) at the Puck. You can also purchase tickets at the Leach Theatre Box Office during its business hours or email Melissa Chambers. The Cardinals game is at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Tickets are $10 and located in Dugout Boxes, Section L, starting in Row 9. Missouri S&T’s tickets are open to the public, so buy them for friends and family.

Missouri S&T’s Staff Council invite all faculty, staff and students to attend Springfield Cardinals Day. The game is at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Attendees will also receive a voucher for a commemorative coin giveaway. Tickets are $10 and located in Dugout Boxes, Section L, starting in Row 9. Tickets go on sale starting Monday, April 14, and can be purchased 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in the vestibule inside the main entrance to Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. Tickets are open to the public, so buy tickets for friends and family.

This year’s Staff Day theme is “Let’s have a ball.” Staff Council would like to visit your department and challenge you to your favorite office sports game for the Staff Day video. Is it wastepaper basketball? Or maybe coffee cup golf? Council members can visit Tuesday, March 25, through Thursday, March 27, to film. If you want to be in the Staff Day video, contact Michelle Mehmert. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions; members of Staff Council are available to visit departments, answer questions and get feedback.

The next Staff Council meeting is 9-11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, in the Silver and Gold Room of the Havener Center. The group will discuss whether S&T should become a smoke-free campus. Comments may be submitted to the Staff Council Advocacy Committee at staffco-advocacy-grp@mst.edu. Lonna Sowers, member of the Rolla Chamber of Commerce, will join the group to talk about the city of Rolla’s perspective. Staff Council encourages staff, faculty and students who are interested in the discussion to attend.

Walt Branson, vice chancellor of finance and administration, will attend the Staff Council meeting at 9 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 13, in the Silver and Gold Room of the Havener Center. He will speak about upcoming budget decisions and take questions or hear concerns that staff may have. All are welcome to attend and ask questions.
