Flooding reported at Schrenk Hall

A water line leak has caused flooding in Schrenk Hall. The following rooms are closed until further notice:

  • Ground floor: Auditorium (G3) and Rooms G5 and G6
  • First floor: Room 104
  • Second floor: Rooms 204 and 205

As part of previously scheduled work, deionized water will not be available Thursday, Aug. 16, throughout Schrenk Hall. Deionized water will be available again Friday, Aug. 17.

Deionized water for Schrenk labs temporarily unavailable

While the deionized water system in Schrenk Hall undergoes repairs tomorrow, deionized water will not be available in the building’s labs 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28. Drinking water and running water will not be affected. For more information, please contact Kenny Grimm, maintenance supervisor, at 467-0262.

Curators approve plans to move forward on Biosciences Complex

The third and final phase of the Biosciences Complex at Missouri S&T is included in the list of major construction and renovation projects approved by the University of Missouri System Board of Curators on Nov. 10. The curators’ approval of this project — further renovation and expansion of Schrenk Hall, which houses the chemistry and biological sciences departments — means it is now on a short list of capital projects that includes a project from each University of Missouri System campus and MU Health Care, or five projects in all. These projects will be further evaluated for consideration at a March 2018 meeting of the Board of Curators Finance Committee. Get more details.
