The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce warns the campus community that two emails connected to scams are being sent to local business. One message is about purchasing ad space for the “Best Business Directory” and another message is about paying for a “2019 Best of Rolla Award,” and it is not tied to the local community.

Beware of poster advertisement scam

The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce warns the campus community that a group named Elite Designs is calling area businesses to sell advertisement space for athletic and football posters. The chamber encourages area companies not to advertise with this group. The company does not have a local business license and is not working with local schools. 500 cyclists riding through Rolla today

As part of the Big Bam route (Bicycle Across Missouri), cyclists started in Waynesville this morning (Thursday, June 21) and are expected to bike through Rolla between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., headed north up Pine Street and past S&T to U.S. 63. The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a water stop for the riders on Kingshighway.

Get your tickets for military barbecue

The Phelps for the Fort committee, which includes Missouri S&T and the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce, will host an Association of the United States Army (AUSA) barbecue 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Veterans Memorial Park in Rolla. The event is open to the campus community and reinforces the combined community and military strength of our region.
