Robotics team wins second place at first competition

Missouri S&T’s newest student design team earned second place at BotsKC, a robotic fighting competition held in April in Pleasant Valley, Missouri. The Combat Robotics Design Team, formed in spring 2020, joined the contest with its first robot build.

CAREER Award funds research on human-robot interaction

Welcome, campers

S&T’s nuclear engineering camp began Sunday and the robotics camp started yesterday. Each summer, the S&T campus becomes the weekly “home” to more than 14 different summer camps, bringing approximately 800 individuals to Rolla to learn more about STEM fields and college life.

FRC mentors at Waynesville High School

Many exciting things are happening with the Waynesville High School Robotics Team. With a new DoD grant, the school elected to transition from Vex to First… and they’re going large, embracing the more advanced FIRST Robotics Competition.

They are starting an FRC team and need to lean on some experienced students.
Students who are FIRST FRC alumni and those familiar with programming would be
especially welcome.

    Volunteers are needed to help staff two regional robotics championships for middle and high school students that will be held on Missouri S&T’s campus in February. VEX Robotics will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, and the FIRST Robotics State Championship will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, both in the Gale Bullman Building. The events are expected to bring hundreds of visitors to our campus.
