Hwy 63 closure begins March 24
Construction is underway on a new pedestrian underpass to help students and visitors safely cross Route 63 to reach classrooms and residential halls. This new underpass will replace the existing tunnel that is used to cross Highway 63. To complete the underpass, a portion of Highway 63 will close starting the evening of Sunday, March 24.

As part of the construction of S&T’s new pedestrian underpass, some sidewalks will be closed to create the new promenade. Pedestrians are urged to use the pedestrian tunnel to cross U.S. Highway 63. The crosswalk will be closed.

Construction begins on University Drive
Missouri S&T is beginning construction on a new pedestrian underpass located at the intersection of Hwy 63 and the old University Drive, approximately 30 feet south of the existing tunnel. Construction will begin this month and has an expected completion date of August 2024.
