- Dr. John McManus, Curators’ Distinguished professor of history, was quoted in The Times of Israel article, “These U.S. Soldiers Liberated Dachau While Their own Families Were Locked Up Back Home,” published May 29. Rich Tenorio wrote the article about the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion, the only U.S. military unit during World War II whose enlisted men were of Japanese descent. Read More »

- Aaron Boots, a junior in electrical engineering and a member of S&T’s Amateur Radio Club, is pictured and mentioned in a magazine published by AARL, the national association for amateur radio.
- Bill Schonberg, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, was recently interviewed by radio station KCBS in San Francisco regarding the planned launching of so-called “mega-constellation satellites” and their possible effect on the orbital debris environment. Read More »
McManus goes on air about Pearl Harbor attacks
Military historian Dr. John C. McManus, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of history, lent his expertise to reporters for articles commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks on Dec. 7. He was interviewed by Kelly Moffitt with St. Louis Public Radio for “75 Years Later: St. Louis Memories of the Pearl Harbor Attacks, the ‘Date Which will Live in Infamy.’” He was also quoted in “100,000 Put in Relocation Campus After 1941 Attack” by Lou Wilin in The Courier, based in Northwestern Ohio.
