Proposed manufacturing research and development facility included in governor’s initial budget

The Missouri Protoplex facility is among the projects included in Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s proposed budget for higher education capital improvement projects. The facility will serve as the anchor building for the university’s planned manufacturing technology and innovation campus to be constructed north of Interstate 44.

Step challenge update

With the recent cancelation of performances by the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra due to COVID concerns, prizes to be awarded as part of the Leach Theatre’s 15,000-step step challenge have been revised. Participants in the challenge will have the option to select a ticket to the April 29 performance by the Drifters and the Platters. They may also opt for a voucher redeemable next year for a ticket to a 2022-2023 Campus Performing Arts Series event.

K-12 tutoring begins this week

The Kummer Center for STEM Education will offer free academic tutoring to K-12 students throughout the spring semester. Drop-in tutoring is available 3:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Room 104 of Centennial Hall. No formal request for drop-in tutoring is required.
