Proposed manufacturing research and development facility included in governor’s initial budget

The Missouri Protoplex facility is among the projects included in Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s proposed budget for higher education capital improvement projects. The facility will serve as the anchor building for the university’s planned manufacturing technology and innovation campus to be constructed north of Interstate 44.

The facility will serve as the anchor building for the university’s planned manufacturing technology and innovation campus to be constructed north of Interstate 44.
The Protoplex will provide shared space, equipment and technology to an “ecosystem” of manufacturers. This Manufacture Missouri Ecosystem, or MME, will connect companies with researchers at S&T and other Missouri colleges and universities to provide the latest manufacturing techniques and technical expertise.
