The Bangladeshi Student Association (BSA) at Missouri S&T marked Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year 1432, with a celebration on Saturday, April 19. The event began in the Innovation Lab Forum with an opening ceremony, musical performances, recitations, interactive games and group dance numbers.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is an Islamic holiday commemorating the willingness of the prophet Ibrahim (Abraham in Judeo-Christian traditions) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael).
