Bird is the word for tonight’s talk

Dr. Stephen Roberts, vice provost and dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business, will help the Ozark River Audubon Chapter kick off the “Year of the Bird” with a talk about birds of Antarctica and Arizona at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Feb. 8) at the Eugene Northern Community Hall at 400 W. 4th Street in Rolla.

CASB dean helps kick off ‘Year of the Bird’

Dr. Stephen Roberts, vice provost and dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business, will help the Ozark River Audubon Chapter kick off the 2018 Year of the Bird — a joint, yearlong effort from the National Audubon Society, National Geographic, BirdLife International and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. In a talk for a general audience, Roberts will discuss birding and wildlife encounters from the deserts, jungles and polar regions. All are invited to the event at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Eugene E. Northern Community Hall, located at 400 W. 4th St. in Rolla.
