Visit the Art of Science Summer Camp art exhibit tomorrow

High school students who attend the Art of Science Summer Camp get to explore creative ways to photograph, write and create multimedia art through natural discovery at S&T’s Field Station campus. Artwork created by the attendees will be on display in the atrium of the Havener Center at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, June 30.

Encourage students to submit artwork for exhibit

The Curtis Laws Wilson Library will accept submissions for the Spring 2018 Student Art Exhibition until Sunday, Feb. 4. The exhibit will run Monday, Feb. 19, through Friday, April 20. A reception will be held Tuesday, April 10.

Student art exhibit ends Dec. 8

The Fall 2017 Student Art in the Library Exhibit, located on the second floor of Curtis Laws Wilson Library, began Oct. 30 and will end Friday, Dec. 8. The exhibit features 53 works of art by 28 student artists in a broad range of mediums, including glass, acrylic and oil paints, mixed media, and digital art. The exhibit is jointly sponsored by the library and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business.

Arthur’s painting on display in regional exhibit

A recent painting by Scott Arthur, lecturer in arts, languages and philosophy, has been accepted for the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri’s 2017 Regional Juried Exhibit. The exhibition began with an opening reception on Dec. 1 and will continue through Saturday, Jan. 27, at the gallery at 16B N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
