The application deadline for S&T’s Renaissance Student Awards has been extended to Friday, March 23. If you know a graduating senior at Missouri S&T who excels in various areas, please encourage him or her to apply for the Renaissance Student Award. The winner will receive $1,000. 41 S&T faculty members honored for outstanding teaching
Forty-one faculty members have received the Outstanding Teaching Award for 2016-17. The winners were recognized at a ceremony in November. The Outstanding Teaching Award is given each year to faculty members by the Outstanding Teaching Award committee, which bases its selections on student evaluations.

Arthur’s painting on display in regional exhibit
A recent painting by Scott Arthur, lecturer in arts, languages and philosophy, has been accepted for the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri’s 2017 Regional Juried Exhibit. The exhibition began with an opening reception on Dec. 1 and will continue through Saturday, Jan. 27, at the gallery at 16B N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
