Northcut named interim vice provost of academic support

Dr. Kathryn Northcut, professor of English and technical communication, has been appointed interim vice provost of academic support, effective Saturday, Feb. 15. Dr. Jeff Cawlfield, who has served in the vice provost’s role since June 2013, will return to his home department of geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering, where he is a professor of geological engineering.

Nominations for Service Learning, Experiential Learning awards due Dec. 1

Nominate a faculty or staff member for the Experiential Learning Award or the Service Learning Award. Faculty, staff, students and community partners may submit nominations for these awards. Nominations are due Friday, Dec. 1. Nominations must include: a signed nomination form, nominator supporting statement (limit of two pages), and up to three letters of support (limit one page each). The materials must be in one PDF submission sent to Dedie Wilson, experiential learning specialist, at byfieldr@mst.edu, by Friday, Dec. 1.
