Staff Council will sponsor a “Hometown Heroes Save Lives” blood drive 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, June 29, and Friday, June 30, in St. Pat’s A and B of the Havener Center. The KKID 92.9 FM radio station will broadcast live 11 a.m.-1 p.m. from Havener Center both days. Blood drive donors can get free T-shirts and snacks. Dubbed “the greatest show and tell on earth,” Maker Faire Kansas City is a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness where engineers and artists, scientists and crafters get together to share their hobbies, experiments and projects. Missouri S&T is a sponsor of the event. Students involved in the S&T Makerspace project in the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building and members of the world champion Mars Rover Design Team will be on hand at the S&T booth, along with other students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and volunteers.

Read More »The Summer 2017 Student Art in the Library Exhibit is now open and will be displayed through August in the second floor exhibit space of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. The exhibit features the collected works of geology and physics major Lindi Oyler, titled “The Improbabilities of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics,” and half of a sculptural work resulting from a collaboration between Missouri S&T and Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
