Who’s afraid of the Haunted Mine?

With fall comes the excitement of Missouri S&T’s annual Haunted Mine hosted by mining engineering students. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the fundraiser. Tours will be held 6-11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20; Saturday, Oct. 21; Friday, Oct. 27; Saturday, Oct. 28, and Halloween night on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Informational meeting planned on Materials Research Center

Employees are invited to a meeting about S&T’s Materials Research Center (MRC)   noon-1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, in Room 204 McNutt. The meeting will provide information on the status and plans for MRC. Guide students to LEAD course assistance

The Learning Enhancement Across Disciplines (LEAD) program provides free walk-in tutoring and faculty-led learning centers in over 60 courses this semester. This includes all introductory courses in math, chemistry, physics and computer science, and full operation of several more learning centers. Today is application deadline for student commencement speakers

The Commencement Student Speaker Committee will select two students, one from each college, to speak at each of the commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16. The application deadline is today (Monday, Oct. 9). To be considered as a finalist for a live audition, students must apply at stuaff.mst.edu/speaker and provide a copy of their proposed speech and resume.
