Solar Car Team crowdfunding

The Missouri S&T Solar Car Design Team is asking for your support as it prepares for the 1,700-mile American Solar Challenge 2018. The student financial assistance office, currently located in Room G-1 Parker Hall, will move to Room G-6 Curtis Laws Wilson Library. Note that the office will be closed Monday, April 30, to accommodate the move. The office looks forward to assisting the campus community again on May 1.

Steel bridge, concrete canoe design teams make a splash

Two Missouri S&T student design teams excelled at competitions over the weekend. The Steel Bridge Design Team earned first place at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2018 Mid-Continent Student Conference. The team now qualifies for and will compete at the national competition May 25-26. The Concrete Canoe Design Team earned fourth place at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2018 Mid-Continent Student Conference.

Repairs to Kingshighway planned tonight

Crews will install a waterline on Kingshighway near the intersection of Bridge School Road in Rolla, starting at 9 p.m. this evening (Monday, April 23). Kingshighway will remain open during the waterline construction but will be reduced to one lane intermittently during nighttime hours. Delays will be expected and drivers are asked to seek alternate routes. The city of Rolla’s department of public works is coordinating the project.
