Flooding reported at Schrenk Hall

A water line leak has caused flooding in Schrenk Hall. The following rooms are closed until further notice:

  • Ground floor: Auditorium (G3) and Rooms G5 and G6
  • First floor: Room 104
  • Second floor: Rooms 204 and 205

As part of previously scheduled work, deionized water will not be available Thursday, Aug. 16, throughout Schrenk Hall. Deionized water will be available again Friday, Aug. 17.

McMillin named interim chair of computer science

Dr. Bruce McMillin, assistant dean for strategic initiatives in the College of Engineering and Computing and an S&T faculty member since 1988, has been named interim chair of computer science for the 2018-19 academic year. He succeeds Dr. George Markowsky, who remains on the computer science faculty.
