Charles R. “Chuck” Remington, professor emeritus of mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T, died on Thursday, Nov. 28. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Rolla Cemetery at Highway 72 and Rolla Street. Memorial gifts can be made to the Charles R. Remington Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Drop off your GRACE for Christmas donations before Tuesday, Dec. 3, as the boxes will be picked up on that Tuesday. Types of donations accepted include canned food, non-perishable food items, new toys and books. Grace provides food, clothing and toys to more than 700 families in the local community every year.

The National Board of Directors of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) announced that Steve Tupper, Fort Leonard Wood liaison in the office of sponsored programs, is included in the 2014 class of members named as Fellows of the Society. Tupper joins Angela Rolufs, director of the office of sustainable energy and environmental engagement, as the second member of the Missouri S&T community to join the SAME Academy of Fellows.
